This law sets out measures to safeguard children and adolescents in digital environments and applies to any information technology product or service directed at, or likely to be accessed by, children and adolescents in Brazil, regardless of its location, development, manufacture, offering, commercialization, or operation. The Digital ECA Lead Implementer is a certification intended for individuals seeking to validate their advanced knowledge of the Brazilian Digital Statute for Children and Adolescents (ECA Digital).
The exam includes topics such as the fundamental principles and preliminary provisions of the Digital ECA; definitions related to information technology products and services; duties and obligations of providers; protection measures to ensure the safety, privacy, and well-being of children and adolescents in digital environments; risk prevention and mitigation; age assurance mechanisms; parental supervision and child monitoring tools; restrictions on inappropriate or prohibited content; regulation of electronic games, digital advertising, and social networks; prevention and combat of violations against children and adolescents; reporting mechanisms and content removal procedures; transparency and accountability requirements; governance and regulatory oversight; and applicable sanctions.
The Digital ECA Lead Implementer certification exam is an online, closed-book, remotely proctored exam. It consists of 40 questions, and the passing score is 70%. Candidates will have 60 minutes to complete the exam.

After purchasing an exam voucher, candidates will have 180 days to take the exam.
The exam voucher includes 2 retakes in case the candidate fails the first attempt.
There are no prerequisites to take the exams. ITCERTS recommends that candidates have at least six months of work experience in the area that the certification exam covers.
If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on the first attempt, there is no waiting period between the first and the second attempt. If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on the second attempt, the candidate must wait at least 7 days before retaking the exam for a third time. A candidate may not take a given exam any more than three times per year (12 months).
